About us 

Varicon is on a mission to transform one of the biggest and oldest industries globally.  Construction has one of the highest rates of insolvency among all industries (it accounts for 10% of GDP and 25% of insolvencies).  This is a consequence of the huge level of financial risk that these companies are exposed to. We’re changing this by helping construction contractors make better data-driven decisions to reduce financial risk. 

Varicon is a fast-growing venture funding backed startup transforming the way construction costs are managed. Varicon enables our customers greater visibility into the financial performance of their projects to reduce overall financial risk for the business and improve internal governance processes. 

Role Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end UX/UI design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and implementation.
• Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions and improve the user experience.
• Create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that align with our brand guidelines and product vision.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and gather feedback.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback and data-driven insights.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and industry best practices to continuously enhance our product's user experience.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and contribute to the development of a design system to maintain consistency across our product.
• Work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of designs, providing support and clarifications when needed.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create visually compelling assets and materials that align with our brand identity.
• Act as a UX/UI thought leader within the company, sharing knowledge, conducting workshops, and driving design excellence

About you

• 1+ years in product design.
• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
• Experience in producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• In-depth working knowledge in Figma, Design Systems, Figma Components and libraries
• Experience in conducting UX research and Usability testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to discuss and explain design solutions.
• A team player but can work independently
